The face of Bollywood is truly changing. There are many small films coming in the horizon bringing in fresh bouts of talent in the shapes of actors and directors and aiding one such effort is Subhash Ghai’s production house which will release many films this year. ‘Khanna & Iyer’ is one among them, a light hearted romantic entertainer which would be the launch pad of newcomers Sarvar Ahuja and Aditi Sharma and will mark the directorial debut of Hemant Hegde. The film is presented by Zee Telefilms Ltd in association with Mukta Tele Media. Tabun Sutradhar composes the music and the lyrics are by Rajesh Johri and Sunil Jha.

A love duet opens the soundtrack and it looks like an ideal start for this youthful romantic film. 'Rootho Naa' is a sweet and melodious song rendered by Kunal Ganjawala and Shreya Ghoshal. It’s a slow paced number with lyrics by Rajesh Johri. It is a simple love song without attempting to go overboard.

Though it didn’t come as a promising number there is a second version of this decent song as well. Jojo and Suzanne share the mike this time though the effect of the first version sounds better. There is an instrumental version of the track as well, in case someone is all geared to hear some music 'Piano Piece' would be the ideal choice.

When Kunal Ganjawala and Shreya Ghoshal are at the helm you expect nothing less than a melody-dipped track ready to transport you to the dreamy world. But 'Raasta Pyaar Ka' won’t surely be your idea of a romantic outing. It’s a situational track that has a jungle feel to it. The track at best fits itself as a background theme piece. The song is penned by Sunil Jha and is nothing much to write home about. There is a 'remix version' by Aks but that also has the anthem mood to it.

Next on the line is 'Meri Jindari' a love song with certain Bhangra and western element to it. Sukhwinder Singh and Madhushree get behind the mike for the track, which has lyrics by Rajesh Johri. Another song that doesn’t have much to rave about. This average sounding track also has a  'remix version' by Aks with added pace but still without any degree of excitement.

'Boom Boom Boom' is the next song coming from Kunal Ganjawala and Sudesh Bhonsle. Sunil Jha writes the lyrics of this campus number heard almost a dozen times during the 90s. Wonder who would like to go for a rehash again!

To sum up it’s a very average album. There is not a single hummable tune and only 'Rootho Naa' is the best from the enterprise. For this routine love story the song have been tuned as mere fillers, not the kind that promises you a time basking in melody.
