Vikram Bhatt after directing the taut romantic thriller ‘Red’ presents you the slice of life with 'Life Mein Kabhi Kabhi'. The film is produced by BABA Films and has in the lead Aftab Shivdasani, Dino Morea, Sameer Dattani, Anuj Sawhney, Nauheed Cyrusi, Pinky Harwani and Anjori Alag and is about exploring love, life and happiness. Lalit of the Jatin Lalit duo goes single after their split. This is his first work as an individual composer. Sameer writes the lyrics.

The first track of the album 'Vallah Vallah' is a fun campus track which is a trademark number composed by Jatin Lalit formerly. This song can also be termed as a title song as one can hear the words 'Life Mein Kabhi Kabhi' chipped in the track. Shaan and Mahalaxmi Iyer do the rendition and are the apt choices for this lively number. Shamit is the background voiceover singer. It is a decent fun number at the beginning of the album.

The next track that follows is 'Hum Tum' with singers Kay Kay and Gayatri. In spite of such good singers the song just lacks the pulse to appeal. It’s a lackluster romantic track sans melody that doesn’t charge you up at all because of the unexciting tune. Also the singers seem to be sleep walking through the track.

'Hum Khushi Ki Chah Mein' is an emotional track with Zubin Garg coming behind the mike. It is a rock styled track sealing its fate being an average one. Zubin Garg makes his impact felt in this situational number. There is a 'rock-mix' version of the same song with little difference made in the arrangement. Zubin holds the center stage and Alka Yagnik adds on with a few lines in between.

A youthful rock track 'Gehra Gehra' offers you various moods and is undoubtedly the best track of the album. Another vintage Jatin Lalit melody that weaves from mellow to rhythmic notes. Sunidhi Chauhan can be heard behind the mike exuberating excitement. Also the lyrics are another best part of the enterprise.

Remo Fernandes goes for a pulsating mood with the song 'No Problem' after a mellow start of the number followed by a piano. He does apt justice to this carnival number with his enthusiastic singing style. Other than his rendition the track however fails to make a mark. The song just misses the element that would make you jump with joy.

Vikram Bhatt is known for his ear for music. But for 'Life Mein Kabhi Kabhi' he just brings in disappointment with Lalit Pandit unable to level up to the expectations. The album doesn’t have a single song that makes it audible. Live apart the album, there is not a single track that creates an impression. And for Lalit and Vikram this is no good news!
