Today’s film industry is envisaging a new change as many technicians are turning to directing movies. More often than not it has been seen that they turn out to be good directors whose films are high on content and graphics. Ragava Larencce is one such technician who has swapped his mantle with that of a director and gladly the director doesn’t disappoints.

Ragava Larencce has had a good opening as a director. Both his previous releases have been decent success at the box-office. Now this choreographer-turned-director is ready with his third release, which is a supernatural thriller titled ‘Muni’.

The story spins around Ganesh (Larencce) an extremely timid lad. Ganesh is a chicken-heart since his childhood as he grew up listening to the many ghost stories narrated by his father Rangaswamy and hardly moved out of the house after 6 pm. His mother Kantamma (Kovai Sarala) was anxious to get her son married but sadly nobody came up with any offer. In the mean time, Ganesh happened to fall in love with Priya (Vedika) with whom he finally tied the knot. Ganesh along with his wife and parents move to Vizag following Rangaswamy's transfer. Rangaswamy opts for the bungalow that belonged to local MLA Dandapani and takes it on lease.

Dandapani is a tainted man who had murdered a do-good soul Muni (Rajkiran) and his daughter. Died of unnatural conditions, Muni’s spirit keeps hovering around the bungalow thirsting for revenge. The spirit happens to take shelter into Ganesh’s body to settle his scores with the evil politician. But Ganesh’s parents summon a sorcerer Anantudu (Nazar) who successfully gets out the spirit from his body. Later when the spirit reveals in a flashback the purpose of his entry into Ganesh's body, the once timid lad agrees to assist him in his undertaking.

Muni with the help of Ganesh first of all slays his daughter’s assassinator. Sensing the danger around him, Dandapani summons a sorcerer Masthan (Rahuldev) to save him from the plight. Masthan succeeds in stopping Muni from attacking Dandapani who in the end confesses all his crimes. Ganesh after coming to know of the many evil deeds of this corrupt politician does away with him. Masthan is only aware that Ganesh has committed the murder and not Muni but keeps silent as he believes that all’s well that ends well.

Larencce is simply electrifying in his role here. His spontaneity adds to the buoyancy of the flick. Apart from sizzling the screen with his superb dance performances, the actor has also managed to emote rather easily and with perfection.

Rajkiran is also superb in his role. This seasoned actor proves with this film that he is only getting better with age. Vedika too looks promising in her role. Other actors like Vinu Chakravarthy, Kovai Sarala and Rahul Dev also give in their best.

The script is flawlessly done and even the screenplay is just right. Larencce smartly manages to hold on to the attention of his viewers with his stylish direction. This film is a good mix of humor and horror and is well appreciated by all.

Saran has shown what a brave producer he is by offering to produce this unconventional flick. His gut is sure to reap him rich results. Music by Bharadwaj is infectious and is catching up with the listeners like wild fire.

Larencce has brought in the right ingredients in order to make his film not look over the top affair. Beside this film is a visual treat for all cinema lovers. Kudos to the director for his fantabulous job here. A great watch indeed!
