‘Awara Paagal Deewana’ is a roaring and hilarious action comedy.
The film begins with the death of mafia don (Om Puri). His death begins a tug of war between his son-in law Guru Gulab Khatri (Akshay Kumar) married to his daughter Preeti (Preeti Jhangiani) and his only son Vikrant (Rahul Dev), over his will. The will includes diamonds worth hundred crores in a foreign bank and money that has to be equally divided between these three. They will have to be present in the bank personally to claim the diamonds and sign the papers. The will makes Vikrant and Guru Gulab rivals of each other. Guru Gulab gets associated in a serious crime with the aid of Vikrant, which makes him flee India. He heads for America.
Here he becomes the neighbor of Dr. Anmol Acharya (Aftab Shivdasani). Anmol is a dentist who is facing woe both from his personal and professional life. He is a henpecked husband who works in home like a dog and in his clinic like a donkey. As if that was not enough he gets trapped into underworld. This follows mayhem and roller coaster ride through this laugh riot. Vikrant announces grand prize for the one who can give him any information about Guru. Anmol’s wife Mona (Amrita Arora) forces him to meet Vikrant in India and inform him about Guru and bag the cash prize. He heads for India along with his father-in- law (Paresh Rawal). Choto Chhatri (Johny Lever) takes them to Eaida Anna (Sunil Shetty). Anna says Vikrant that he will kill Guru for the prize money to be offered by him and Vikrant agrees. Anmol returns back not with his hand full of money but Anna and Chota Chhatri. However it is later understood that Anna is not interested in the cash money but the diamonds lying in the bank.
Here begins a race to who can reach the diamonds first. Vikrant, Guru and Anna clash. Who survives and wins the game at last, find it at the theatres near you.
