Arjun (Akshay Kumar) is an innocent and lovable man, a farmer who can hardly utter an English word, whose happiest moment of his life is when he gets married to Jasmeet Singh a.k.a Jazz (Katrina Kaif). She is born and bred in love and wants everything western including her husband. This marriage was against her wishes and she is fuming that her father Manmohan Singh (Rishi Kapoor) has married her to a stranger. Manmohan Singh feels that he can make her daughter change her ways and western thinking by marrying her to an Indian guy without thinking about its repercussions. Arjun’s joy soon turns to despair when he realizes that she doesn’t love him nor respects the marriage and is inclined to settle down wit her British boyfriend Charlie Brown. Arjun is at the cross roads of life who has to see his wife romancing another man and as a devoted lover he is ready to make sacrifices. He is sensitive, determined and strong but is this enough to impress Jazz? Will Jazz understand the mistake that she has committed?
