Debutante director couple Pushkar-Gayatri who has been trained in filmmaking in USA is all set with their first release ‘Oram Po’, earlier titled as ‘Auto’. V.Palanivel and A.C.Anandan are producing this flick that stars Arya and Pooja as the mains. G.V. Prakash Kumar is roped in to compose the tracks. This film has Chennai as its milieu.

Arya dons the role of an auto rickshaw driver in this flick while Pooja plays the role of a biriyani hawker. It would be interesting to watch the two in de-glamorized roles.

Arya who is hopeful of the film’s success quips, “I play an arrogant auto-driver who is keen on thrills and chills. I thank Pushkar and Gayatri for giving me such an interesting character so early in my career.”

Pooja who is thrilled to be a part of this project says that she is cast in a simple role that will give her enough scope to foray her acting credentials.

The movie rests around Triplicane area in Chennai. Nirav Shah who has garnered accolades with his brilliant camerawork with his recent films does the cinematography.

While talking about their silver screen endeavor, the director couple says, “After rigorous workouts, Arya has trimmed down and sports a new look for the movie to suit the role of an auto-driver”.  They further add, “The characters are what you find in real life and the story pertains to the problems faced by the youth. We have put in our best to churn out a commercial entertainer.” They too like the hero are optimistic about the film’s success.

Continuing to discuss their film the couple adds, “The life and travails of auto drivers are featured in the best possible way”. In course of their discussion they also say that utmost importance have been paid to technical aspects like audio mastering and digital corrections to ensure quality entertainment for the audiences.
