After rocking music freaks with his splendid performance in ‘Veyyil’, G V Prakash is back with his latest musical feat in ‘Oram Po’. In this album, gifted G V Prakash employs agile beats and appealing instrumentation without overcasting the lyrics. He makes innovations with sounds, which is again impressive. The soundtrack of this flick has everything to groove the youngsters.
This film star Arya and Puja while Pushkar and Gayatri playback for them. Na Muthukumar jots the lyrics.
The album begins with ‘Oram Po’. It is a rap number by Blaaze penned down by Na Muthukumar. This track is sure to be a major hit with frontbenchers. An ideal start for this sassy album.
Next follows ‘Idhu Enna Nyayam, which is a romantic duet. Shankar Mahadevan and Alka Yagnik croon out to this piece by Prakash. The note of love has been beautifully captured in this track.
‘Kozhi Kalu’, the next track gets Kailash Kher and Jassie Gift to do the playback. This track is a quaint fusion of east and the west. Lively thumps and spongy bass beat lend extra glamour to this track.
The next track ‘Yaar Iravinai’ is another jazzy number. Sivamani dominates this track with his drums. Sunitha rocks with her sporty rendition while George Peters does well.
Then comes ‘Jigu Jickan’, a rustic road folklore embedded with western instrumentation. The interludes on guitar demand a special notice. Manicka Vinayakam rendition is striking.
The soundtrack of this flick winds up with ‘Gum Ganapathy’. It is a sassy college number full of fun and excitement. This song caters to the frontbenchers. This track has fluctuating cadence with dominating percussion. Vijaya T Rajendhar plays his part well.
Taken as a whole this soundtrack looks promising. G V Prakash is quite good. On the whole a good album.
