This film directed by debutant Naren Deivanayakam and produced by Dr.P.K.Kesavaram, K.Bharatkrishna, K.Lalitha and J.Sai Krithikka has Sandeep and Pooja playing the lead pair. Naren Deivanayakam has provided the story, script and dialogues besides directing it.

‘Oru Ponnu Oru Paiyan’ is a love story. Sharath Babu and Bhanupriya come to live in a village with their only son Sandeep, as they are tired urban life. Madhu plays the role of the village head with a heart of gold, who has a granddaughter played by Roopa. Sandeep begins to feel a soft corner for Roopa and they eventually fall in love. Madhu is very supportive of their affair but Sandeep’s city-bred and glamorous ex-girlfriend comes their way. Thus problem cribs up.

Shubha Punja plays the role of Sandeep’s ex-flame and actors like Charanraj, Subbalakshmi and Charly Santhaanam are also in the cast. Music director Karthik Raja has composed seven songs for the film.
