Gopichand’s next big screen venture is Srivas directed ‘Lakshyam’ which is produced by Nallamalupu Srinivas. Mani Shankar one of the most sought after music-directors in Tollywood arranges the tracks. All the five numbers are composed keeping in mind the iconic image of super-star Gopichand. ‘Lakshyam’ is a flick, which enjoys every constituent of a typical movie. The soundtrack of this album is a mish-mash of mellifluous tracks, a remix, a youthful peppy number and a couple of songs that follow the usual viable thumps.

The numero uno song of the album is ‘Gullo Devudu’. Manisharma’s melodic opulence is evident here. Chandrabose’s lines get a new lease of life with Mani Sharma’s splendid music. This situational number opens with strums of guitar united with notes from violin. Manisharma also employs instruments like veena and tabla to produce the desired effect. Drums and sitar also finds place in the following stanza that has folksy base. Sung by Madhu Balakrishnan, this track is a must listen for all music fanatics.

‘Sukku Sukku’ is the usual saleable number. It is a duet whined by Tippu and Sujatha. It is a fun track where the hero teases the heroine. Manisharma uses violin and keyboard for this track while the cadence is maintained by drumbeats. This is a song that readily appeals to cinemagoers.

Thereafter trails ‘Chakkerakeli’ another duet in the offering. A long music precedes this track. Manisharma incorporates keyboard, flute and guitar here. Ramajogaiah Sastry lyrics the lines in the fashion of 80s and 90s that somewhat steals the polish of the song. Karthik and Shreya Ghoshal do the playback.

‘Niluvave’ is a remix of an earlier song. Manisharma remixes this one in an unusual fashion where he preserves the tune of the previous track but alters the music arrangement. The opening with shehnai and jamming of guitar and drum appears innovative. Hemachandra sings out this track in his honey-dipped voice, which will especially captivate the young audience.

The last one to line up is ‘Naa Coffee’, a flamboyant track. This one is different from the rest of the tracks in the album fully inspired from the western beats. It has a good measure of drumbeat, keyboard and electric guitar that makes it a foot-tapping number. Ranjith and Kalpana hum out this track. This song is a great deal of fun.

Manisharma tries to give in his best in the film. He makes a modest impression with the album. In totality a good album to tune into.
