Starring Sanjay Dutt and Saif Ali the film ‘Nehlla Pe Dehlla’ will be out of the cans after five years but there is nothing to grunt about it in the sense that both the actors along with actresses Bipasha Basu, Kim Sharma and Neha Dhupia are enjoying good phase of their career. With the release of the film director Ajay Chandok will also be making his debut. The music is by Anand Raj Anand and a number of guest composers.
It’s a comedy entertainer so be ready for a real dose of youthful and peppy scores. On the same line is the first track of the album 'Parvar Digara' by K.K. and Tulsi Kumar. This is an item track with lyrics penned by Panchhi Jalonvi and has the music composed by guest composer Pritam. Tulsi Kumar does a full-fledged job with KK just chipping in between. A foot tapping score to begin the album with. There is a remix version of the track following soon after with an added punch.
Zubin Garg of 'Ya Ali' fame returns back for another pulsating track 'Hoga Hoga Khuda Gawah'. With the techno feel at the background it sounds more appropriate for the clubs. Sameer pens the lyrics and DJ Suketu composes the song. It’s a routine dance score.
Another routine and average dance number is 'Husn Husn'. The music is reminiscent to the Govinda tracks of the 90’s with some beats thrown in to make it punch filled but to no luck. Written by Dev Kohli, Jaspinder Narula and Sonu Nigam share the stage for the track.
Just give a passé to the next track 'Imaan Dol Jaayenge' which sounds very dated. The song is not at all appealing and even though coming from Sunidhi Chauhan and Vinod Rathod you prefer giving it a skip. An absolute forgettable number!
The title track 'Nehlle Pe Dehlla' is rendered by Shaan and appears to be a good promotional material. The peppiness of the track will surely make you swing to it although this isn’t a chartbusting material. Panchhi Jalonvi has written the track. There is another version of the track, which appears to be the remix but also sounds totally different. This Nitin Shankar composition written by Shabbir Ahmed Kunal Ganjawala and Shaan going but the outcome is nothing but average.
'Bottle Mein Main' sung by Abhijeet, Vinod Rathod and Sunidhi Chauhan and written by Salim Bijnori with guest composer Dabboo Malik at the helm, is a situational track that has absolutely no appealing effect. The songs appear to the kind of 80’s and you will be happier to give it a skip.
'Dil Naiyyo Maane Ne' might sound to you as a number that you’ve heard before. And this is so true. This Himesh Reshammiya and Tulsi Kumar track after making the rounds of ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ and ‘Ahista Ahista’ soundtrack appears in this album.
'Shararati' is composed by Nikhil Vinay and is written by Faaiz Anwar. This dance track is rendered by Saumyajit Ghosh. With foot taping music it is a good number to lend your ears to.
The last track of the album follows the sane route as the previous ones. 'Neele Neele Aankhon Wali' has nothing new to offer other than stale composition by Anand Raj Anand and Dev Kohli. Mika Singh and Tarannum Malik render the song without any gusto.
The music is not the kind that would make you jump with excitement. The song doesn’t have the potential to click and before it starts acting as a disadvantage for the film, the makers’ better pep up the publicity to make up for it.
