Ramesh Narayanan, the gifted devotee of Hindustani genre of music collaborates with Shahbaaz Aman, follower of mappila music to deliver some commendable tracks for Mohanlal starrer ‘Paradesi’.

This is a periodic flick sited against the picturesque background of Malabar. The album counts very few tracks but the music undoubtedly transfers you into a new-fangled reality. Ramesh Narayanan composes couple of songs while the rest are taken care by Shahbaaz Aman.

The album opens with ‘Thattam Pidichu Valikkale’, loaded with melody. Sujaatha renders this song with great poise and poignancy penned down by Rafeeq Ahamed. This song touches the core of our heart with its intensity. It is a bleak, deep and forceful song rich in romance.

‘Annandha Kanneerin’ is interestingly a Qawwali track voiced by Sujatha and Manjary. This track is very well written and melodious. It is very rare that a female renders a Qawwali and that too with such opulence.

The album comes to its close with ‘Yara Dhuni Dhuni’ an atypical but vibrant compilation by Shahbaaz Aman. Vineeth Sreenivasan and M.G. Sreekumar render in their usual trend. Shahbaaz injects freshness into this folk song that revives the genuineness of the feel.

Music of ‘Paradesi’ comes as a fresh shower of monsoon that uplifts our mood as well as taste. The soundtrack for this flick is different from the rest since it owns no remixes, heavy orchestration and foot tapping beats. In a nutshell, the music of ‘Paradesi’ mesmerizes.
