The film is about the protagonist who always listens to his heart whenever he is in crisis to discover what is right and wrong. The film is set on the backdrop of Mumbai riots. The two main characters in the film are Aditya Shrivastava (Avinash) and Vani Tripathi (Aliya) who are husband and wife. They are a happy middle class couple whose life changes when Mumbai riots break down in 1993 separating both of them from each other. Destiny brings them together again after 10 years. But they cannot come together as lots of things have changed between them in the span of years. Both of them are at different situations of life. The wife has turned a prostitute and the husband a police officer.

The two try to live like together again normally, but it’s the society that becomes a constant cause of tumult in their life. They come face to face with many unpleasant circumstances but they take it as a challenge and fight them out. Avinash is ridiculed and questioned from the people around him but he holds to it that it is a passing phase and he along with Aliya will be able to lead a happy life again. Aliya is tormented mentally as memories of the past ten years haunt her day and night like a nightmare. But they continue their life against the odds, keeping faith in themselves.
