Anwar (Siddharth Koirala) is a Muslim youth, quiet and sensitive and an artist. He bids adieu to his home and everything related to his life to get away from the world he no more identifies. He just seeks a love story. But his mentor Master Pasha (Vijay Raaz) who has groomed him as a romantic different from the modern life abandons him and his best friend Udit (Hiten Tejwani) and his true love Mehru (Nauheed Cyrusi) turns away from him. The harsh truth that he faces sets him out on a journey. Shocked and emotionally shattered he goes to an old building to spend the night, not knowing what the morning has in store for him. The next day is something Anwar had never imagined. He is mistaken for a terrorist and he finds himself in a different environment and strange set of circumstances that resembles the modern Indian condition. He can trust no one as people all around him are doing something out of some sheer profit for themselves. Others base their hopes and their deepest desires on Anwar. A Minister (Sudhir Pandey) head-over-heels after him to garner popular vote, a TV reporter (Manish Koirala) and a small-town scribe hoping to restore their careers and lives, a priest looking to maintain the status quo and a senior police officer S.P Tiwari (Yashpal Sharma) who wants to resolve the situation before he leaves. Through Anwar and others related to him, there is a huge love story at the background. Anwar just needs love and to be loves, hope, faith and trust.
