'Aadi Lakshmi' is a triangular love story with actors Srikanth, Vadde Naveen and Sridevi in the lead roles. It is an interesting project, as all the actors are struggling to make their presence felt in this big competitive world of films. In short, it is a big ticket for them to make it big in Tollywood. Y Suresh is the producer and RV Suresh is the director. Chakri has composed right mix of melody and mass songs for the music album of the film. A couple of songs seem to have old tunes yet the music director has given different feel with clever use of music.
“Naa Cellphone Nuvve” is a fast foot-tapping number rendered by Ravivarma and Kausalya. Lyricist Varikuppala has managed to make romance shine out in spite of using English and Telugu words, modern communication techniques, latest Hollywood film characters and other elements. Youngsters will love it.
“Rojuko Muddu” is a fast romantic number sung by Vijayalakshmi. Listening to the tunes of this number could put you in a romantic mood. Use of electronic guitar has added spice to it and humming in the backdrop and interludes is sweet. It would have been better if the pace were controlled.
Chakri himself sings the number “Love You Lolly Papa” along with Kausalya. It is a fusion of melody and romance. Chakri has made it foot-tapping number by using keyboard, guitar and drums but at the same time gives space for lyrics and romantic feel. Kandikonda deserves praises for his good lyrics.
The song “Jil Jil Prema” sounds a little old but has good mix of melody and beat, thus making it peppy. Hemachandra and Kausalya have rendered it well and their voices match with each other. It would win the heart of the youngsters.
Intha Kalamu Yekkada Vundo” is yet another romantic song with good rhythm all through. Venu and Sudha have sung it. The tunes sound old yet the humming between stanzas has made it interesting. The use of drums, keyboard, guitar and tabla has elevated the very mood of the song.
The number “Yekkadikelithe” has mass beat and it sounds like an item number. He has used every element that he thinks would appeal the masses. Use of drums, keyboard and guitar has made it racy. It has rhythmic beat that would give good scope for dance. Chakri and Sunanda have rendered it.
The music director seems to know the nuances of god music. He deserves praises for making old tunes song fresh with his clever use of music and other twists. This is an average album.
