People will expect nothing lesser than the moon from ‘Sainikudu’ for various reasons. Mahesh Babu and Gunasekhar are coming together again after the success of “Okkadu’. Moreover, Mohan Babu is on a new high following the stupendous success of his last release ‘Pokiri’. He is acting opposite number one heroine and his ‘Athadu’ co-star Trisha in this film produced by Ashwini Dutt. Music director Harris Jayaraj has composed six good songs for the album – good mix of melody, mass beat and energetic tunes that would entertain the youths.
Harris Jayaraj has lived up to his popularity by using trendy tunes for the number “Byla Bylamo” sung by Leslie Lewis, Anushka and Sunitha Sarathy. He has used modern instruments and humming cleverly. Use of shehnoy has enhanced the mass beat and violin has provided a classical touch. Use of drums and bass guitar will make the audience tap their feet.
“Mayeraaa” is a melody beautifully rendered by SP Balasubrahmanyam, Unni Krishnan and Kavitha Subramaniam. The use of flute in the interludes and other instruments like drum, guitar and violin will surely catch the attention of the listeners. It also has literary values and the humming in the end makes it a complete whole.
“Aadapilla Aggipulla” is a mass number boosted by Hariharan’s husky voice and Chitra’s melodious voice that blend in perfection. It has distinct music in the interludes and the use of shehnoy and humming has elevated the very spirit of the song.
“Sogasu choodatarama” is yet another melody number beautifully sung by Shreya Ghoshal. Harris Jayaraj has given a folk touch to it by using ghatam, which is further lifted by sound of tabla. He also has used electric guitar and keyboard, thus giving a unique feel.
Malathi, who is known for item numbers starts the song “Orugalluke Pilla Pilla” with a high pitch. Karunya continues the song with help from Karthik and Harini but it is Malathi who is by far the best. It also has good literary values and Harris Jayaraj has given a typical feel to the number with the use of keyboard and guitar.
“Go Go Go Adhigo” is the title song with good mass beat and echo. It also has good literary values and the verse comparing education with the life is worth listening. Guitar sound and humming in English would attract the youngsters. Kay Kay has sung it well.
On the whole, this is a good album with good mix of melody, mass beats and energy. Music lovers will love the songs.
