Sumanth is yet to become a commercially bankable hero though his last release ‘Godavari’ did reasonably well at the box-office. However, his love for new challenges is still vivid and clear. This urge in him has made him to take up ‘Chinnodu’. He acts with glam girl Charmee in the film. Lokesh Dutt and C V Srikant are producing it and Kanmnai, who is known for clever blending of arts and commercial elements, is directing it. Kanmnai’s last release ‘Naa Oopiri’ failed at the box-office though it was critically acclaimed. So, he must be looking forward to taste success this time around.

‘Chinnodu’ is said to have innovative storyline with fresh backdrop. The director revealed that it is a compact love story with lots of interesting twists and turns. Heroine of the film Charmee, who was one of the top heroines last year, is looking forward to this film to provide new impetus to her career.

Actors like Chandra Mohan, Brahmanandam, Ali, Venu Madhav, Dharmavarapu and MS Narayana are also among the cast. Sri Sai Balaji Arts is presenting it on Polygon Pictures Banner and Ramana Gogula has composed some sweet tunes with lyrics written by Suddala Ashok Teja and Kandi Konda. It is expected to hit the theatres by the end of October.
