‘Samanyudu’ is a fight between corrupt politicians and media house that is trying to bring out the clear picture of corrupt politicians for the common good of the people. This film produced by Venkat and directed by Ravi C Kumar has Jagapatibabu and Kamna Jethmalani in he lead roles.

Chandrasekhar (Ranganath) is the editor of a daily called Addam. However, he is hanged to death by Home Minister Bhagawan Raj (Saikumar) with the help of his henchman Lingam Goud (Vinodkumar) on learning that the editor is planning to expose his corrupt practices. Chandrasekhar’s aim was to make corrupt politicians learn their lessons without causing any physical harm.

Chandu (Jagapatibabu), Abhi (Arunkumar) and Aparna (Archana) are orphans brought up by Chandrasekhar. They excel in life and stay abroad. However, they come back to India in order to continue Chandrasekhar’s work. They restart Addam with Chandu as the editor. They plan to catch politician red-handed and they expose Vaishnavi Bank chairman Rajareddy’s (Ashokkumar) idea of looting the people by declaring insolvency. They also come to know that Bhagawan Raj has a hand on the scam. So, Chandu starts blackmailing Bhagawan Raj with the help of video and audio and forces him to make use of the money he got from the scam for the welfare of the people. Meanwhile, Chandu falls in love with Lingam Goud’s sister Vandana (Kamna Jethmalani). Meanwhile, Chandu falls in love with Vandana (Kamna Jethmalani), the sister of Lingam Goud. Now, Aparna breaks away from Chandu and Abhi. She joins hands with Bhagawan Raj and helps in killing Chandrasekhar, as he was responsible for the death of her parents and sister. She is all out to make sure that Addam newspaper doesn’t operate again.

However, Bhagawan Raj comes to know his follies and realizes the happiness coming out of helping the people. He bids goodbye to bad ways. He kills Aparna and decides to take his own life but Chandu stops him by saying that people needs politicians like him who repents from their wrong doings. 

Jagapatibabu has done his role with conviction. Other actors like Arun, Archana and Rajiv Kanakala have done justice to their respective roles. Kamna has nothing much to do but for glamour quotient. However, it was Saikumar who has walked away with the pie as a villain along with Vinod Kumar. Vandemataram Srinivas musical core is cool. The film could be been better if the pace is speeded up a bit more.

But on the whole, it is a good entertainer.
