Darshan is all out to put an end to the hit draught that has been going on for some time now in Kannada film industry. People are optimistic that the actor’s film would do well because he always comes out victorious whenever he takes up action roles and ‘Thangigagi’ has ample of them. He acts with Mumbai girl Poonam Bajwa as his heroine in this film produced by Anita Kashyap and directed by PN Sathya. It features Shwetha Chengappa in the role of Darshan’s sister and Sadhukokila has composed the music.

‘Thangigaagi’ is a remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Tiruppachchi’. It is said to have lots of bloodshed, comedy and sentiment. “Darshan's body language, dialogue delivery and image have perfectly matched the hero's role in ‘Thangigaagi’. It looks as if Perarasu had written the script keeping Darshan in mind. The dialogues, the hero's dynamism and action sequences were the highlights of ‘Tiruppachchi’. All these strong points are there in ‘Thangigaagi’ too. Darshan's fans will be overjoyed to see the film”, assured the producer.
