The aura around director Shankar is bright and cool at the moment. His production venture ‘Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi’ has made a good opening and is doing well at the theatres and his directorial venture ‘Sivaji’, which has Rajnikanth in the lead role is shaping up well. Adding more spice to his curry, he is working with his lucky mascot Bharath in his next production venture titled ‘Veyil’. It is in fact Bharath’s three films in a row with Shankar after ‘Boys’ and ‘Kadhal’. Bhavana and Shriya Reddy are playing the female lead roles and Shankar’s one-time associate Vasantha Balan is directing it.

The film is said to have a different kind of storyline and script. It revolves around two characters from Virudunagar where scorching sun shows no mercy. Bharath plays the role of a guy who knows how to stay happy in life while Pasupathy plays a character whose life is full of regrets and sorrow. Bharath’s progress also affects Pasupathy’s life. It is said that the film has lots of fun and excitement besides sentimental elements.

Shankar knows that quality storyline and good script are needed to make a producer successful. He is confident that ‘Veyil’ will do well, as it has all the elements to entertain the masses. The audio album of the film with music scored by A R Rehman's nephew G V Prakash is said to be good.
