‘Aap Ki Khatir’ is Dharmesh Darshan's new offering starring Akshaye Khanna, Priyanka Chopra, Amisha Patel, Dino Morea and Suniel Shetty.  Handling the reins of music for the scores is none other than Himesh Reshammiya. In real sense of the term he has been ruling the music scene of the year delivering one album after another. Every other week we come across an album composed by him. Assisting him like lieutenant are Sameer and DJ Akbar Sami. And as if you haven’t heard enough of him, he composes 16 tracks here. A look at the album says, don’t know if Himesh has got tired composing at such regular intervals, we surely have got tired of his repetitive music that doesn’t offer anything new.

The title track ‘Aap Ki Khatir’ is a typical Reshammiya score with heart and soul of his other compositions. The beats are predictable and there is no novelness in the sound as well. But the musical outing entertains you at the same time, with Sameer trying to infuse some new words and Himesh picking up the mike going for a change signing in a middle pitch avoiding the nasal twang. True that the song is catchy, but not sure if it needs to appear thrice in the album. Follows the spirited remix that sounds good and freaky. The third version has Akshaye Khanna at the helm reciting a shayari and it sounds attractive.

‘I Love You For What You Are’ brings K.K. and Alisha Chinai behind the mike. A pop styled track it sounds sweet and energetic at the same time. The singers try to merge well with the song giving out their best in the front. Catchy rhythm scores and makes it stand apart. Akbar Sami's remix version is powered with pace, making it a zestful number to look forward to.

A love song with Bhangra touch and feel is ‘Meethi Meethi Batan’ bringing Sunidhi Chauhan, Kailash Kher and Jaspinder Narula together for the first time. Sunidhi is in the front while other two singers go for small chippings. A different number coming out of Reshammiya and you instantly fall for it. Sami's racy remix follows the original but it doesn’t scale to high levels, making you feel that the original is always better.

Flute-dominated ‘Tu hai kamaal’ rendered by Kunal Ganjawala has a retro style and feel. It is one of the tunes that you’ve heard ample times before and so there’s no point searching for novelness here. It surely halts the good work done so far.

Reshammiya returns back for the song ‘Afsana’ based on a Rajasthani folksy tune. Loaded with pace and pep its lively and dynamic, but another oft-encountered number out of the kitty of Himesh. Also Himesh is a letdown from singing point of view. The remix is also a downer and doesn’t help the track much.

‘Keh Do Na’ is a honeyed melodic number that fills your heart with love. Rendered effectively by Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan this is one song that you instantly cherish. There is a remix version with extra touch of music and beats, but you savor the original.

‘Tu Hi Mera’ is crooned by Himani and is dipped in Himesh style of compositions. This robs the essence of the track that appears similar to many other such numbers. Himani does a fine job but the same cannot be said with the composition that goes a bit overboard. An unnecessary remix appears next and you surely won’t relish it.

The tunes are the replicas of many more such Himesh has offered in the past. The music here is nothing more than a mix n match and carbon copies of the works he has done before. Also Sameer has made it a rule to come out with uninspired and unimaginative lyrics. Surely his success in spite of all these is a phenomenon.
