‘Kathputli’ is a joint production venture of Mink and her brother Punnu Brar. The film is directed by Sanjay Khanna and is presented by the 'Sahara One' banner.

Lisa Oberoi (Mink) a young woman suddenly finds herself in a world, which doesn’t belong to her surrounded by people who are strangers but claim to be her own, situations that look dangerous. Stranded on a Mumbai road she feels that she is a kathputli (puppet) of fate. She doesn’t remember her identity, from where had she come and where she was going. Her dress is soaked in blood and she finds she has lots of cash. Dr. Arjun Oberoi (Milind Soman) claims to be her husband and takes her along with him. Gradually she learns that she is a rich woman leading a luxurious life and has been happily married to Arjun who owns the best hospital of Mumbai. But suddenly an agonizing situation has changed her life. But what was it? Lisa tries to find out. Arjun tries to make her recollect her past and tries to make her fall in love with him and return to the days of caring and togetherness. Despite of the love showered by him Lisa doesn’t forget the past and suffers from it all the while. She gets constant reminders of blood and money that leads to the state of frenzy.

Though Arjun seems to help her, she hardly found answers from Arjun. Also she couldn’t make out the presence of Anju (Yukta Mookhey) a friendly neighborhood and Celina a nurse around her. Did they wanted to help her or was Arjun keeping an eye on her through them while he was away. Dev’s apparent arrival on the scene somehow helps her to come out of the situation. Dev is a handsome young naval officer who is Anju's husband and also Lisa's childhood friend. After hearing the story he resolves to find the truth. He wants Lisa to learn her past. But is Arjun real and really wants to help her out or is this a menacing plan to make Lisa a 'kathputli'?

Sameer Dharmadhikari, Seema Biswas, Sudhanshu Pandey, Mukul Dev and Vikas Kalantri are in supporting role in the film.
