Devi Sri Prasad is a happening music director in Tollywood but not elsewhere. However, he has crossed borders by composing soothing music for Tamil film ‘Something Something Unakkum Enakkum’. This album has racy and peppy numbers. Noted singers like Jassie Gift, Karthik, S P Balasubramanaiam and Shankar Mahadevan have sung for the album. The film has Jeyam Ravi and Trisha in the lead roles and actors like Prabhu, Kalabhavan Mani and Cochin Haneefa are in the supporting cast. Editor Mohan produces it and Raja is the director.

“Kilye Kilye” is a racy number with fast beats and appealing chorus. Jassie Gift has rendered the number so beautifully with his terrific voice. It could find its way to the audio charts.

Critics who said Devi Sri Prasad is no material for soft melodies have to eat their on words as “Pooparika Nee Pogathae” is a melodious romantic number with tempting instrumentation. Shankar Mahadevan has given the right feel to the song by rendering even the high-pitched tunes with ease.

The tunes of “Agayam Iththanai” sounds familiar yet it has a good orchestration. S P Balasubramaniam’s voice is as good as ever. He has infused right romantic pathos into the number. His voice has made all the difference to the number.

“Ehh Kozhi” is the pick of the album. It is a mass song with fast and racy tunes for the frontbenchers. The use of shenai in the interludes is sweet and lyrics are good too. Naveen has sung it well.

“Un Parvayil” is yet another romantic number beautifully sung by Karthik and Sumangali. It has a mix of slow and fast rhythms with western influence. It gains momentum after slow start and the chorus is good.

“Something Something” is another peppy song with catchy beats. Thippu has sung it with great energy and Devi Sri Prasad’s orchestration is cool. It would find its way into the dancing floor, as youngsters would love to move their body to its tunes. It is sure to hit the chart busters hard.

In short, music director Devi Sri Prasad has achieved in making a mark in Tamil film industry. Masses will surely remember him for his great work in this album.
