Actor cum director Pandiyarajan is launching his son Prithvi into films with ‘Kaivantha Kalai’. It has actress Shruthi in the female lead role. Mahadevan Ganesh and Usha Mahadevan are producing it under GV Films Ltd banner and Pandiyarajan is directing it.

‘Kaivantha Kalai’ is a comedy film with good theme and storyline. Major portion of its shooting was done at Negarcoil and the song sequences were shot at TR Gardens and Mohan Studios. It has a number featuring Malavika and Gana Ulganathan. The duo had earlier did an item number in ‘Chithiram’.

Actors like Pandiarajan Seetha Pandian, Vinuchkravarthy, Venniraadai Moorthy, Senthil, Pandu,King Kong, Benjamin and Revathy are also playing important roles in the film. Dhina has scored the music with lyrics written by R. Pandiyarajan and Vairamuthu.
