Music director Mani Sharma is a versatile artiste. He can turn to mass, melody, lilt and any kind of music for that matter. He goes with the image of the heroes of the film he works on. Considering hero Junior NTR’s image, he has composed peppy numbers for the album. Hot girl Sameera Reddy plays Junior NTR’s heroine in this film produced by Valluripally Ramesh and directed by Surender Reddy.
The album makes an energetic start with “Gola Gola”, which has heavy beat. You could see NTR in your mind’s eyes dancing and hoping around on listening to the number. Orchestration throws up surprises at regular intervals. Ravi Varma and Sujatha have rendered it with lots of zeal and Sujatha's high-pitched voice is rupturing.
“Jabiliki” is a softness and stylish number beautifully sung by Hariharan, who specializes in such numbers. Vardhini has given him good support. Mani Sharma knows exactly what Hariharan is best at. In short, this is a soothing song.
“Muntajmahalu” is another song with heavy beats and orchestration. Its lyrics are fused with Telugu and English words. Devan has sung it so beautifully and Tanvi has given him good company. Youngsters will surely love this number.
“Nuvvasalu” is a good song with folk-based rhythms. It has predictable tunes yet its mass-based rhythms have made it so appealing and you will feel like moving your legs to the beats. Jassie Gift and Chitra have rendered it so beautifully.
“Oka Chinni” is yet another number filled with rhythm. Kay Kay seems to know the nuances of both mass and melody songs and he has used his experience into good use in this song by singing it so beautifully. However, its orchestration could have been done better.
Karunya, the runners up in the Indian Idol contest sings the number “Yekantanga”. It’s not an easy job to do well in Telugu but he has managed to capture the lively hearts of the listeners with his husky voice in this number. In other words, he has rendered the number so well, sending out a message that he is here to stay. Mani Sharma has set a good platform for the young singer. The song also has good orchestration.
‘Once a winner, always a winner’ would best describe Mani Sharma’s music in this album. NTR fans will surely love this album.
