'Amrutha Varsham' is a partly dubbed and partly remake of Kannada blockbuster ‘Amrutha Dhare’. It is a beautifully made film with no trace of vulgarity or for that matter any dirty dialogues. A meaningful life of three days is greater than a meaningless existence of a hundred years is the theme of the film. However, it has to be seen whether the Telugu audience will accept it at the theatres. Sameer Dattani and Ramya are playing the lead roles and Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan makes a quest appearance.

Sameer Dattani and Ramya is a married couple. They behave like lovers with hubby running after his other half. However, they fight over silly matters all the time because of their contrasting personalities. Sameer has a dream to build a house of his own because his father has kicked him out of the house for marrying Ramya against his wishes. He saves anything he gets at the cost of others calling him a miser in order to build a house. He succeeds in building a house and presents it to his wife on her birthday. They lead a happy life. However, God has different plan for them. You have to watch the film to know what destiny holds for them.

Ramya looks wonderful in the film. In fact, she has carried the burden all alone. Sameer Dattani’s performance is also fine. The onscreen chemistry of the lead pair is one of the highlights of the film. The special appearance of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan also has boosted up the spirit of the film. The technical aspects of the film are also fine.

On the whole, it is a good family entertainer.
