Love is multi-faceted and 'Seetha Koka Chiluka' deals with one of them. It is typical village love story and director A.R.Raja has managed to make it a good entertainer by packaging it with soothing music, glamour and sentiments. It revolves round an adolescent boy who goes through various phase of life, both good and bad.
Seenu (Navadeep) takes his studies easy though his parents want him to study hard and do well in life. He falls in love with Lakshmi (Sheela), daughter of a Zamindar. Love makes him blind and even goes to the extent of molesting her in the classroom. Now, Lakshmi's brother-in-law (Prithviraj) enters the scene. Lakshmi trusts her brother-in-law, not knowing that he has an evil intention on her. He kills her father and keeps her sister's abortion a secret with the hope of marrying her. Meanwhile, Seenu and Lakshmi are very much in love. In the meantime, district collector (Suhasini) advises them to take up studies seriously, telling them that there is much more to life than love and marriage. Now, the duo is determined to achieve their goal.
Navadeep is brilliant as a romantic guy. He has done the histrionics well and debutante Sheela also has done justice to her role. She has pumped in enough glamour into the film. Other actors like Prithviraj, Subalekha Sudhakar, Vijayakumar, Sangeetha and Suhasini have all performed well. Manisharma’s music is a plus point and cinematography is also good.
Director Raja has managed to make the film a good entertainer out of a theme that is as old as the hills.
