‘Manathodu Mazhaikalam’ is a youthful film with college campus backdrop. It revolves around relationship that three friends share. Shaam, Nitya Das and Samiksha play lead characters of the three friends. Anthony produces the film on ELK Productions banner and Arbhuthan has provided the script besides directing it.

The director revealed that ‘Manathodu Mazhaikalam’ is a different kind of campus story film with a scintillating climax that would shock the audience. Samiksha plays the role of a talkative college student while Nitya plays a sober character. Its shooting is going on in Chennai and Chalakudi. A song sequence was shot on Shaam and Samiksha at Athirampalli falls and the campus scene was also shot at a ground near Jain College.

The cast of the film includes Jaisurya, Vinodraj, T P Gajendran, Jayamurali, Anjalidevi, K S Rajan, Narasimahan, Akila, Marina, Shrija, Devika, Vijayasingh, 'Kadhal' Kanna, Mettur Sekhar and Ganesh Babu. It has music composed by Kartikraja, cinematography by Raghav and editing works by Raja Muhammed.
