Movie Review : Sri Krishna

Producer: D.Ramanaidu
Director: V.Vijayendra Prasad
Cast: Srikanth, Venu, Gowri Munjal
Music: M.M.Sreelekha

Writer Vijayendra Prasad is venturing into film direction with ‘Sri Krishna 2006’. It is a love story with right mix of comedy. The director’s selection of characters is fine but he has failed to handle the story firmly.

Wealthy man Venkateshwarlu (Venu) falls in love with Indu (Gowri Munjal) while he is looking for a bride. His marriage proposal with her takes a beating with his grandmother insisting him to marry two girls in order to live a longer life. Indu also agrees to his demand, and now, he is set to marry another girl. At this critical juncture, Raju (Srikanth) enters the scene, claiming that Indu is his wife. This incident changes the whole course of the film. Will Venkateshwarlu manage to get back his ladylove? You have to watch the film to know the answer.

Venu has done his role well and his heroine Gowri Munjal looks beautiful. Their onscreen chemistry is cool. Srikanth, Brahmanandam and others have done their job well but Ramya Krishna has nothing much to do. It is fine technically and Sreelekha has composed some good tunes.

On the whole, it is an average film.
