Have you heard the saying “ drops of water makes an ocean”? Like that a step towards the improvement of the society will definitely bring about the desired change. But the question is whose will be the first step? Fearing the worst most of us decide against taking the first step. We have a reason. What can I – a single person do for the society? The movie ‘Aparichit’ talks about a man who tries to save the world, single handedly. We may not approve of his ways, but still we want someone like that in our society.

The story goes like this. Ambi (Vikram) is an idealistic lawyer. He wants the society to function in a certain way. But it never happens. Irrespective of his father’s (Nedumudi Venu) he always fights against wrongs.

One day he comes across a site on Hindu Purana. It is on Garudapurana. It says that all the sinners should be punished. After reading this he feels that it is his duty to punish the wrong doers. Whenever he sees a crime the other man – the stranger – in him gets aroused. He metes out the ultimate punishment to all those sinners. The news about a stranger committing crime reaches the Police. Prabhakar (Prakash Raj) one of the best officers around starts to look for the man behind all theses crimes. After much investigation he zeroes in on the lawyer Ambi. But the problem is that the lawyer is not in his usual self when he does the crime. That time he is the Aparichit.  He doesn’t even know that he is the man behind all those killings in the city. He comes to know about this only when he sees himself in a camera committing the crime. As he is a principled man he gets ready to accept the punishment law gives him. But considering his mental status (multiple personality disorder) the law sends him to mental asylum.

This is the synopsis of the movie ‘Aparichit’. This is a remake of the hit Tamil movie’ ‘Anniyan’.

The film has Vikram in triple role, as a lawyer, as the stranger and the third as an entertainer called Remo. Sadha is in the female lead. Other than Vikram and Sadha it features Prakash Raj as a police officer. Yana Gupta appears in a sizzling item number.

Shankar who always comes out with socially relevant movies is the director of this movie. His earlier movies include ‘Hindustani’ and ‘Nayakan’. The leading composer in Tamil Harris Jayraj composes the music.  You have heard him in ‘Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein’
