The Roshans are back with another movie -Krrish! With Hrithik in the lead and Rajesh Roshan doing the music it is sure to be another musical with superb dancing sequences.

Roshan’s have a knack for making hit music. All their songs are deeply rooted in Indian melody. The songs are apart of their movie. They never use a song just because it is the trend of the time. They are the trendsetters.

Now let us look at the songs in this album. The album starts with a soft melodious song ‘Pyar Ek Kahani’ with violin as musical accompaniment. It is a simple song sung by a simple man, the lead character in the movie. The lyric is by Ibraheem Ashq. He has given us the beautiful songs like ‘Koi   Mil Gaya’ and  ‘Kaho Na Pyarr Hai’. Sonu Nigum and Shreya Ghoshal render voice to the beautiful lines of   Ibraheem Ashq.  This song is really an enjoyable one.

‘Koi Tumsa Nahin’ is another Sonu- Shreya rendering. It is another melodious, love song done typically in Rajesh Roshan style. It is a mix of geet and gazal.  It falls sweetly on ears. The song starts with the sound of tabla and guitar. Rajesh Roshan molds Nasir Faraaz’s well-written verse to a beautiful song with great tune and catchy music. The remixed version uses saxophones and jazz. Even then the Big Band Mix is faster but not better than the original song.

Chori Chori Chupke Chupke has Udit Narayan and Shreya Ghosal crooning the words of Nasir Faraaz. Udit Narayan who is an expert in molding his voice to the situation of the song does it again. He is the man for the song. Shreya Ghosal raises her rendering to match that of Udit.  This song is based on the music of the hilly region. It is also a completely Indian melody with no western influence. The accompaniment of tabla and flute takes you to another world. The song is so catchy that it triggers your imagination. The lyric is simple and beautifully written. Rajesh Roshan’s music acts as ‘Sone Pe Suhaga’. One of the songs you love to have in your music collection.

‘Dil Na Diya’ is a flashy dance number with Hrithik dancing to its tunes. This one sinks in slowly. The lovelorn voice of Kunal Ganjanwala gels well with the music and theme of the song. It has a striking resemblance with the Kaptanzadi Ali Riza Bey composed Turkish Military Anthem ‘Ceddin Deden.’ That’s where the resemblance ends. This song penned by Vijay Akela talks about how to be in love. The song is sure to catch up with the greatest fans of Hrithik, children. With great dancing and excellent picturisation it is going to be a popular number.

The last song of the album ‘Main Hoon Woh Aasman’ is an excellent work by Rajesh Roshan. He has successfully combined the unique voices of Rafaqat Ali Khan and Alka Yagnik in this song. The song starts silently with no music playing.  It gives a divinely experience.  This theme song written by Nasir Faraaz is the slowest of all tracks. The remix version is peppier.

In short, another hit in the making. In coming days you can see people humming this tunes. It will be a better hit than  ‘Koi Mil Gaya’.
