Movie Review : Mayajaalam

Producer: Venkat
Director: S.V.Krishna Reddy
Cast: Srikanth, Deepa (Poonam Kaur), Pradeep Rawat, Sayaji Shinde, Ali, Brahmanandam, Krishna Bhagawan, Venu Madhav
Music: S.V.Krishna Reddy

Director S.V.Krishna Reddy dares to tread the un-treaded path, and he deserves praises for that. 'Mayajalam' is a comedy different from films that are ruling the day. The director has cunningly fused supernatural elements with comedy, sentiments and action.

Vamsi (Srikanth) runs a successful marriage bureau. He fakes a marriage proposal between MP Pradeep's (Pradeep Rawat) son Chatrapathi (Shafi) and Dr. Rajender's (Sayaji Shinde) daughter Swati (Deepa), and the marriage is to take place at the doctor’s farmhouse. Both the families come for the bridal feast. At this very juncture, the atrocities committed by both the MP and the Doctor surfaces. Now, their dead victims Ali, Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav and Krishna Bhagawan are set to take revenge on them. So, what role does Srikanth play in this drama and what has he gained from it? Well, you’ll have to watch the film to know these queries.

Srikanth has done his role well and heroine Deepa also has done justice to her role though she is a debutante. Sayaji Shinde and Pradeep Rawat have done good job as villains but comedians Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav, Ali and Krishna Bhagawan are not impressive. S.V.Krishna Reddy’s music and technical aspects of the film are fine.

In short, it’s a film that will keep you sit up all the time. Go, have nice time watching this thriller.
