‘Simbhu’ is a Telugu dubbed version of Tamil film ‘Alai’ directed by Vikram. The pre-release hype around it was huge due to the presence of top actress Trisha and Simbhu of ‘Manmadhan’ fame. It failed to live up to the expectations of the people but producer Gopi is dubbing it into Telugu as ‘Simbhu’ under Leela Films banner with the hope of proving the past wrong.

The film is a love story with the hero along with his lover helping his friend to marry the girl of his choice. It has a tagline - ‘Lover Of Trisha’ and the posters that show Simbhu kissing Trisha’s heart has already heated up the imaginations of the people.

Actors like Vivek, Kuralarasan, Raghuvaran and Saranya are also playing various important roles in the film and Vidyasagar has scored the music.
