Yuvan Shankar Raja is young but he is the most happening music director in Tamil film industry. He knows the winning ways and he always lives up to the expectations. The album of ‘Azhagai Irukkirai Bayamai Irukkirathu’ is no different. It has five songs with different styles, and a couple of songs will surely rock the music chart. The music director has used lots of energy and rhythm for the youth. Adding more hype, he has sung four of the five songs of the album.

Bharath, Mallika Kapoor and Arun Kumar play the lead roles in the film. Cheran is the producer and noted cinematographer Vijay Milton is the director.

“Kanavae” is a sad and soft song that tells about lost love. Yuvan sings the number with his sister Bhavadharini. Yuvan has tried to sound huskier and his sister too has done a good job. But this fast song lacks good flow.

“Elaiudhir Kaalam” is a good song with fast and catchy beats. Yuvan starts the song with a good chorus and a host of singers including Bhavadharani, Boby, Reeta, Reshmi, Ranjith and Naveen keep it flowing. Yuvan has beautifully used guitar and drums. This song will satisfy his fans.

“Kaadhalai” is a very good romantic number with excellent orchestration. Western and rural music are fused together and it’s a big gamble from the music director. 10 singers namely Bharath, Devan, Premji, Ranjith, Suchireeta, Pushpavanam Kuppuswamy, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Paravai Muniyamma, Sujatha and Naveen have sung this number. It’s a different kind of song and singers from different platforms are brought together. Yuvan has tried out different instruments for it and the risk has paid off well. It’s a good number.

“Odivaa Kaadhalae” is again a romantic number that gains momentum after a slow start. Yuvan has concentrated more on the lyrics by playing down the instrumentation. Karthik sings the number with Yuvan. It’s not a very good song but its good lyrics and peppy beats have lifted it up. The youths may use it even on the dance floor.

“Orampo Naina” is a very good song and it is no doubt the pick of the album. It has a shade of local rap and Yuvan has mixed various instruments really well. Premji sings this number along with Yuvan. The use of violins, trumpets and drums together with good chorus and lyrics will surely make this number really hot among the music buffs.

In a nutshell, Yuvan Shankar Raja has once again curved out a very good album. Living up to the expectations is his strength. Music lovers should not miss this album.
