‘Premante Inthe’ is a remake of Bollywood film ‘Socha Na Tha’. It didn’t do very well at the box-office but got lots of praises for delicate handling. It is all about a youngster who is confused in his search for true love. Of course, he finally finds the girl of his life.

Veeru (Navadeep) is in love with Lizi (Rupali) but doesn’t have the guts to express his feelings to her. It’s an infatuation. Now, his parents want him to marry Pavani (Poonam). So, he tells his love story to Pavani and asks her to foil the marriage proposal. This incident stranded the two families but the duo becomes good friends. Pavani even goes to the extent of going to Vizag to unite Veeru with his dream girl.

Veeru finally speaks out his feelings to Lizi and she too agreed to her proposal. However, his family is death against him marrying a Christian. His parents finally relent to his wishes but problem crops out of Veeru’s mind. The confused guy now starts feeling a soft corner for Pavani and changes his mind to marry Lizi. The rest of the film is on how he chooses his real love by convincing his family.

Navadeep’s performance in the film is commendable. He has done his job well even in comedy scenes. Poonam Bazwa needs to horn her acting skills though she looks beautiful in the film in spite of putting on more weight. However, newcomer Roopali is not at all impressive. She has long way to go to make a mark for herself as an actress. The dialogues and comedy track of the film create laughter at places but lacks consistency.

It is technically fine. Koti’s music is one of the main strengths of the film. Chitra and Zee TV Saragama runner-up Hemachandra have sung the songs really well. In fact, they provided new life into the album. Camera work of the film is also fine.

On the flipside, the film looks shaky because of poor characterization and screenplay. The way Veeru moves away from Lizi towards Pavani is handled poorly. Things can look awry when the central character itself loses track. Moreover, there is nothing new in it. At the end, the film has come out as an average entertainer in spite of good performance from Navadeep.
