The expectations on ‘Pournami’ are touching the skies because the incredible combinations of producer M.S.Raju, Prabhas and Trisha who produced hit film ‘Varsham’ are back together in this film. Moreover, it is Prabhudeva’s second directorial venture after making an unbelievable debut with ‘Nuvvastanante Nenoddantana’. The new film features actors Prabhas, Trisha, Charmy and Sindhu Tolani in the lead roles.

‘Pournami’ is all about dance offering that was practiced during 16th century. A village girl dances for seven continuous days with the devotion of Lord Shiva in order to put an end to the severe draught. The result is that rain pours down and the village looks green. After this incident, a practice develops, and that is to let a girl from the family perform dance offering after every 12 years, as the people believe that the dance of the girl brings luck to the village. The film also has right dose of action.

Actress Trisha revealed that she and Charmy play siblings in the film. She also added that the love story involving Prabhas and her is mature. Music director Devi Sri Prasad’s music with lyrics by Sirivennela has gone down very well with the audience.
