We hear the news of middle class girls joining films to make it big in Bollywood at regular intervals but only a handful makes their dreams come true. In 'Jigyaasa - Woman On The Top' Jigyaasa Mathur (Hrishita Bhatt) tries to be different and goes all out in search of her dream and is ready to put down her values and principles.
Jigyaasa Mathur is from a respectable middles class family and lives with her mother Malini Mathur (Varsa Usgaonkar), who is a schoolteacher. This innocent girl knows that she has the potential to make it to the top in Bollywood and she realizes that she has to sell her everything to achieve her aim. It doesn’t take away just her values and principals but also her body.
She achieves her dream and becomes a superstar but she show lots of distinct people on her way to her dream. She sees the dirtier, sleazier and horrible side of name and fame. Many tales like sex, drugs, glamour, gossips, rumors, film politics, mobile clippings, underworld mafia connections, molestation, homosexuality and many more start coming out, as success comes with a price.
You will have to watch the film to know how she achieves her goal, how she earn name and fame, the sacrifices she made and various ugly encounters she go through in her journey to the top.
