‘Anjaan’ is a movie from Hansal Mehta. It is a story about a ‘ pati patni and woh’. That is a husband, wife and someone between them. Even though this story line is an overexposed one but still we can expect Hansal Mehta to come out with a surprise. The movie casts less known actors like Mahek Chal, Kapil Gupta, Vipul Gupta and Aamir Ali Malik.
This movie has only two songs. Yet it has three lyricists and four music directors. The sad part about this album is that it has no publicity whatsoever. Even then once you hear any of the two tracks you will get addicted to it.
Now let us check out the songs.
The first song in this movie is ‘Bas Ek Zara’. This is a beautiful romantic track. Two new singers-Vardan and Sunita sing this soft, melodious number. Their lack of experience does not reflect on the song. Vikesh Mehta scores the music for the Amitabh Verma lyrics. The very well written lyric captures the essence of the situation. With proper promotion this song will provide the much-awaited break for Vikesh Mehta. With this song the two newcomers have showcased their talent.
Next song ‘Gum Shuda Hai’ is a soulful melody in the voice of Kailash Kher. Again Amitabh Varma comes out with a beautiful lyric. The lines are very touchy. Viju Shah’s music enhances the quality of the lyric. This is a soft and slow moving sad song. In this song all the three department – lyrics, music and singing- are of superior quality. But it is the music that towers over the other two. This is one of the songs you will love to hear over and over again.
‘Anjaan’ has two of the best tracks in it. Unlike the rest of the albums in the market it soothes you down. Do not assess the quality of the album with the number of songs in it. It is a must buy.
