Producer: Ambika Krishna Director: A.S.Ravi Kumar Cast: Balakrishna, Sada, Tanusree Dutta Music: Manisharma
No wonder ‘Veerabhadra’ has ample mass elements because Balakrishna is a mass hero. Director A.S.Ravi Kumar Chowdary has once again come out with a sentimental story to pull the masses to the theatres. He has pumped in lots of brother-sister sentiments into the film.
Murali Krishna (Balakrishna) comes to Hyderabad to let his handicapped sister study. He carries her to college everyday. Incidentally, the college belongs to Peddi Raju (Shayaji Shinde), who happens to be his biter enemy. The people in the colony where Murali lives are very fond of him. But they decide to throw him and his sister out because Peddi Raju's men attack the colony. At this very juncture, Kondanna (Rallapalli) enters and reveals Murali’s true identity and his bitter relationship with Peddi Raju. What is the cause of the rivalry? What happens to Murali and his sister? The rest of the film tells it all.
Balakrishna is the strength of the film. He has carried the load on his shoulders all alone with ease. His performance as caring brother, his dialogues, comedy and dance sequences are great. Sada and Tanusree Dutta have pumped in enough glamour to seduce the viewers. Manisharma’s music suits the tempo of the film well.
The film would have been much better had the director handled the script better. However, it has enough elements to entertain the audience.
