Manisharma and Balakrishna seem to have good understanding. The music director had composed good music for several Balakrihna’s films in the past and he has lived up to the expectations this time too. Every single song in ‘Veerabhadra’ is good in itself and the music director deserves praises for superb use of violin, sitar and traditional instruments for this album. The sister sentiment song of the album is also very sweet. It is certainly one of the best albums of the actor’s films.

“Jagam Kosam Suryudu” is a good solo number with good beats, interludes and chorus. It gives right momentum to the album. Some words are difficult to understand yet sounds good. Shankar Mahadevan has sung it very well and Bhashasree’s lyrics are brilliant with right use of words. Manisharma has done great job in choosing the right singers and instrument for the song. It would surely become popular among the masses.

“Abbabba Pedavi Poojaku” is a beautiful melodious and romantic number that everyone will enjoy. It starts off with a sweet piece of violin and then it leads to sitar piece. It has good beats with good usage of violin, guitar and other instruments in the interludes. The choreographer could create some good moves out of this number. SPB and Chitra are coming together after a long gap and they have not disappointed. Bhaskarabhatla’s lyrics are simply yet catchy. The charanam seems to be better than the pallavi. This is a good song for everyone.

“Aa edukondalu Ekkesta” is a very good song with beautiful use of violin, sitar, traditional shehnai and folk based drumming. It starts off with a piece of flute and then gets into sitar with chorus singing in the background. This is a very good melody that flows like a river. Debutant Lenina makes the song enjoyable by rendering with vigor and Tippu has given good support. The masses would love this number immensely. Manisharma deserves accolades for composing this cool and fresh song.

“Mayavundi Pillo” is a different kind of song with fast beats. The use of instruments in the interludes would throw challenge on the choreographer. The lyrics have nothing much to offer. Anyway, it’s another good song.

“Sirimalli Nelaku Andam” is a good happy song based on sister sentiment. This kind of song rarely comes out these days. Mallikarjun has done wonderful job with good support from Vardhini. Sai Sri Harsha’s lyrics are also very good and pleasing. Everyone will enjoy this number, as it has good beats, tempo and chorus. Manisharma has added another feather on his cap.

“Boppai Boppai” is a typical Balakrishna song. It sounds like an item number. Karthik’s melodious voice is a beauty and the chorus in the background adds spice to the number. The way he sings the phrase "Da da dana dana daruvesi aadanga" is wonderful. Chinni Charan’s lyrics are also catchy. Manisharma has cunningly used melody throughout the album. The masses will surely love this number.

In the nutshell, Manisharma deserves praises for moving away from the formulaic music. The songs in the album are melodious, fresh and original. The numbers “Aa edukondalu ekkesta" and "Sirimalli Nelaku Andam" are certainly the best songs of the album. The battle is half won with this album. In other words, ‘Veerabhadra’ is half way through success.
