Film buffs have a reason to expect something big from ‘Mata’, as it is actor Jaggesh’s 100th film. It also has actors like Pari, Sudarahan, Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar, Mandya Ramesh, Asif, Thabala Nani, Biradar and Shasidhar Bhat playing various roles. Kanakapura Srinivas produces it on Company Films banner and Guruprasad is making debut as a director. Manohar has composed the tunes and Santhosh Rai is handling the camera work.

The film is said to be based on realistic theme with ample message for the audience. It conveys a message to the youths that their destiny is in their hands. The film tells how a group of boys mend their bad ways and become good people through their hard efforts. It also brings to light the dark side of wealth and provides food for the soul.
