Everybody expects A R Rehman to come up with soothing music all the time. It is unfair but he has to live with it, as music lovers have so much faith in him. And he rarely fails to deliver the goods. The music of ‘Godfather’ is also a success with some new beats and right mix of orchestration. He has shown that class never dies.

"Kamma Karaiyal Umma Kodu" is a mass song with a unique flavor. Naresh and Sowmya have sung well. Its tune and beat are soothing. Rehman’s splendid rhythms have made all the difference to the song. It would be much better if not for the ordinary lyrics.

"Ilamai Vidukathai" is a fast song with good beat. It starts like an old Rehman’s song but gets into a quite different mood. Suresh Peter and Blaze sing the number with lots of energy and spirit. Party animals will surely love this racy number.

"Ilamai Vidukathai" is a remix. But surprisingly, it sounds better than the original. This remix version has lots of energy and strength. Naresh, Tanvi and Mahathi have added spice to the work of Suresh Peter and Blaze. Naresh will surely become popular with this song.

Sadhana Sargam starts singing "Katril Oru Varthai" with a promising note and then the tune turns to tabla-dholak tune of Hindi films in the 1980s. She then reverts to impressive style. SPB and Reena add to the beauty of the song. This is a good melody with sweet interludes.

"Inninisai Azhai" is featured thrice in the album and all the versions are good. In fact, the remix version sounds slightly better with Srinivas’ voice piercing through the heart. He is a talented singer, and so, he deserves more opportunity to showcase it. Naresh’s vocals are fine and Mahathi’s voice suites the song. It has energetic jathis with melodious chorus like other Rehman’s songs. This number is undoubtedly one of the best in the album.

Rehman always experiments new flavor and doesn’t seem to believe in formula. And "Dhinam Dhinam Deepavali" is another diverse song with a Goanese feel. It has new interludes and Rehman has made it more attractive than expected. Kalpana, Sonu, Leon, Peer and Renjith sing the song and they get along quite well. This is another good number from Rehman.

"Theeyil Vizhundh Theenai" is a fantastic number with a touch of Sufism. The tunes become high at one point of time and then dip down low. Rehman’s vocals and tunes flow like a cool and calm breeze. The rhythm and orchestration also go along so well with the song.

In a nutshell, Rehman has yet again delivered the goods. His fans and music lovers will surely have a good time listening this album.
