Audio Review : Teesri Aankh - The Hidden Camera - Loaded with Punjabi flavour

Producer: Pammi Baweja
Director: Harry Baweja
Cast: Amisha Patel, Neha Dhupia, Sunny Deol
Music: Harry Anand
Singers: Sonu Nigam, Suzanne, Jazzy B, Asha Bhosle, Sweta Pandit

‘Teesri Aankh - The Hidden Camera’ is a thriller film starring Sunny Deol, Amisha Patel, Neha Dhupia, Ashish Chaudhary and Arti Chabaria to be directed by Harry Baweja. Movie tycoon Harry Baweja and macho-man Sunny Deol had formerly teamed together for ‘Karz’ and are getting together to work for the second time now.  The album boasts of four original numbers and remixes composed by Sukhshinder Shinda, Harry Anand and Nitz'N'Sony.

The overview of the album shows it is smeared with Punjabi songs and numbers throughout. The first track begins with Jazzy B signing out ‘Chug De Punjabi’ a bhangra-pop song. He keeps on with his patent singing style making the number more interesting than ever. The song is composed by Sukhshinder Shinda and written by Karamjeet Kadhowala and is the one featuring in promoting the album.

Remix man Harry Anand again goes for remixing again with ‘Assi Teri Gal Karni’. The original song is picked from Pakistani singer Abrar Ul Haq’s ‘Assan Janna Mall O Mall’. The remix one is sung by Sonu Nigam and hearing a Punjabi tone out of him is pretty refreshing. The added rap-n-reggae touch with a dash of lyrics by Sameer also acts as a credit.

We’ve heard Shweta Pandit last in Neal N Nikki and she sounded marvelous. This time she is back with ‘Titliyan Titliyan’ a lively Punjabi song once again accompanied by Sonu Nigam. The vibrant factor of the songs settles with you soon. There is also a remix appearing next of the same number with the credit going to Harry Anand and Sameer.

Asha Bhonsle sets off to spark and perk with ‘Sharaabiyon’ composed by Nitz'N'Sony and written by Nitin Nitz Arora. The song sounds special for the retro feel in it rendered by a veteran singer too. The song sounds like an item number and appears pretty average. For this song of lounge music fervor, there is another version to it called the ‘lounge version’ with more pep added to it.

For the ones who enjoy listening to music for a past time and just to freak out on it this album will prove ideal for you. But for the one who seek novelness will be disappointed because the album follows the tried and tested route with pretty average songs that surely entertains you. And the one who has an ear of Punjabi music will surely dance to it.
