Director: Ajay Kanchan
Cast: Aryan Vaid, Megha Chatterjee, Mehul Bhojak, Shruti Mehrotra, Rati Agnihotri.
Music: Tauseef Akhtar

Aisa Kyon Hota Hai is produced by Chetanalaya Films & SVD. Ajay Kanchan, who has experimented with documentaries so far, is now trying a hand at Bollywood directing the film. Another highlighting aspect of the film is the music by Tauseef Akhtar with lyrics by Sayeed Quadri, Payam Saeedi and Tauseef Akhtar. Mahesh Bhatt scripts the film. The star cast includes Aryan Vaid, Megha Chatterjee, Mehul Bhojak, Shruti Mehrotra and Rati Agnihotri.

The narrative is about a touching tale brilliantly portrayed in the screen. Model-turned- actor Aryan Vaid plays the lead role who does not stick to one partner because of which he contracts the HIV virus. Rati Agnihotri plays the role of a mother, who symbolizes loyalty, commitment and trust in a relationship. But life treats her rather ruthlessly. By the time, she discovers that she has been cheated in her marriage, she is already pregnant. Instead of aborting the baby and thinking of remarriage, she gives birth to her child and dedicates her entire life to bringing him up all alone. However, in order to retain her self-esteem, she never reveals to the child who his father is. The child (Aryan Vaid) grows up with the feeling that he is illegitimate that’s why the mother doesn’t tell him who his father is. Instead of believing in love and having a committed relationship, he indulges in lust without realizing the perils of his behaviour. The mother goes through the agony of witnessing that her only child has tested positive for HIV. She even pays with her life while saving the life of a girl belonging to other community in a communally charged atmosphere. It is now for her son to make sure that the sacrifice that she has made does not go in vain. And this is the mission in the movie.

India’s Roman Catholic Church, worried about traditional values breaking down in the country, has joined hands with Bollywood to make a movie highlighting dangers of HIV/AIDS. It’s the first commercial film based on HIV-positive issue to be produced by the Roman Catholic Church in India.

Tauseef Akhtar’s music for this movie is fresh, harmonious and versatile. The album features singers like Kunal Ganjawala, Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal and Sowmya Raoh.
