The film is an emotional take on the incurable disease AIDS and about an illegitimate son played by Aryan Vaid. Rati Agnihotri is in pivotal role in the film. Others in the cast includes debutante Megha Chatterjee, Mehul Bhojak and Shruti Mehrotra. The script of the film is by filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. India’s Roman Catholic Church, worried about traditional values breaking down in the country, has joined hands with Bollywood to make a movie highlighting dangers of HIV/AIDS. The maker of many documentaries so far Ajay Kanchan, makes his first Hindi feature film with this.

The music is composed by Tauseef Akhtar who tries his hands in composing music for the first time and the lyrics are by renowned Sayed Quadri and new comer Paayem Saeedi. The soundtrack is a mix of six original tracks comprising emotional, sentimental to some lively numbers.

The first song of the album is the title track ‘Aisa Kyun Hota Hai’, a theme song sung in the melodic voice of Shreya Ghoshal. The song brings to the forefront the trauma undergone by the protagonist. The lyrics are meaningful and deep stirring your souls however the composition of the track fails to impress. Still Tauseef Akhtar does a good job and makes us look ahead to the album expectedly.

Next comes up a sensual number igniting desires by Cheryl and Tauseef Akhtar in ‘If You Wanna Love Me’. A tempting number, it is something on the line of the songs of the skin flicks that we encounter regularly. Cheryl stimulates but doesn’t sound significant and Tauseef Akhtar’s voice is the worse part of the song.

Keeping with the funky stuff appears the peppy and fast number ‘Ishq Dhamaka’. Sunidhi Chauhan, Kunal Ganjawala and Sowmya at the helm of affairs give you the hint as to how the song would turn out to be. You just want to head to the dance floors. The song is no less than the club numbers with pop flavour that are flooding the scene. Lyricist Payeem Sayeedi does a good job. A good track of the album!

The romantic song ‘Ishq Hua Hai’, soft and melodic in feel turns up next. New singing talent Amaan Khan does the rendition here. Neither the music nor the vocal strength sounds impressive overall. This is not a song definitely to look forward to.

Another situational romantic song appears next ‘O Yaara’ but this time by the dependable Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal follows. A very conventional kind of number, it narrates the ardent feelings of lovers. A very average kind of song that is heard often, this is also a passé. Paayam Sayeedi sounds boring with his lyrics.

‘Tere Bachpan Ki Lori’ is the last song of the album by Alka Yagnik. It is a soft lullaby number narrating the mother’s agony through her life. The lyrics by Sayeed Quadri add a good touch to the track.

As a whole the album is pretty average with none of the songs standing out. ‘Ishq Dhamaka’ is good and there are some pleasant numbers but nothing remarkable. Tauseef Akhtar couldn’t create any magic in regards of music and he’ll now have to look forward to his second album to get his efforts noticed.
