The hit pair of Emraan Hashmi, Himesh Reshammiya and Sameer get together once again at the helm of affair for ‘Aksar’. Emraan Hashmi may not have delivered any hit this year, but he always made news for featuring in the most hit and popular tracks, composed by Himesh Reshammiya. With both of them going great guns in terms of delivering hits, ‘Aksar’ goes to be a much anticipated album. Anant Mahadevan of ‘Dil Vil Pyaar Vyaar’ and ‘Dil Maange More’ fame handles the reigns of direction once again. Other than Emraan Hashmi, the cast of the film comprises Dino Morea, Udita Goswami, Irrfan Khan and Tara Sharma.
As a whole the album comprise of five original tracks and seven remixes of the original songs. Himesh Reshammiya again gets behind the mike after the super success of ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’. For his fans here is good news, as the composer will be lending his voice for three tracks in the album. Himesh already hits the bulls’ eye with ‘Jhalak Dikhlaja’. The song is on its way to become another club anthem. As a composer and singer, Himesh leaves no stone unturned to make the song a reckoning one. The track features twice again in his voice as ‘Remix’ and ‘Unplugged’. The song is all over the place and the soundtrack has started selling like hot cakes, owing to it. Don’t mind the nasal tone of Himesh much, as long as he entertains you. With all the right ingredient falling in place, it is enjoyable and utterly likeable. Extremely catchy and addictive!
With the terrific rhythm in the ‘remix version’ you start enjoying the track more. Same goes for the ‘Unplugged’ version that cuts down the musical beats and highlights only a few instruments.
Himesh turns to render the second track of the album along with Sunidhi Chauhan titled ‘Laagi Laagi Prem Dhun Laagi’, a melodious love number. The song also features in two version - original and remix. Infused with sufi tone and western instruments, this is the consecutive track in the album that keeps you engrossed. Both the singers gel well together and add the cool factor to the number.
The pace gets faster for the ‘remix’ and the song turns more energetic due to the added percussion and instruments. An ultimate Club number that you’ll enjoy!
Sunidhi Chauhan gets together with KK this time to render the next song ‘Soniye’. Once again the song features in two version, original and remix. With the male voice dominating the number, with only a small English input by Sunidhi, this one is a mellow and melodious romantic number. Effective as a whole!
The ‘remix’ of the track is more funky and peppy, making you charged to head to the dance floors.
Daughter of music baron Gulshan Kumar, newcomer Tulsi turns to mike with Himesh for the title track ‘Mohabbat Ke’. The energy and the good will garnered by the album so far, gets another leap with the song. Sameer tries his pen to word some unconventional lyrics and does an awesome job. Another dance floor track, that is sure to march its way to the top. There also follows a rocking ‘remix’ of the track.
Kunal Ganjawala glides through ‘Loot Jayenge’ with special inputs by Jayesh Gandhi. A fiery track that’ll be on its way to ignite the dance floors. The remix of the number is also energy dipped, maintaining the pace at which the album has been going so far.
The album comes to a close with the musical ‘Aksar theme’. This track gives a halt to the break neck pace of the album and helps you rest with pleasure on the soft note. With the female input, good musical piece and melody the music undergoes a sudden change, hinting at the narrative of the film.
With good music and lyrics making most of it, ‘Aksar’ is addictive and terrific. The album is destined to make its way to the top slot soon and it won’t come as a surprise if all the numbers turn out to rock, as ‘Aksar’ truly deserve it!
