Hero Dhanush is pining all hope on ‘Pudhupettai’ to give him a big hit. He has two pretty babes Sneha and Sonia Agarwal to accompany him in his mission to make a good break. Lakshmi Movie Makers produces it and Dhanush's elder brother Selvaraghavan is the director. Selvaraghavan, Dhanush and music director Yuvan Shankar Raja have teamed up again after the success of their last film ‘Kadhal Kondein’.

The film is said to be an action entertainer on rowdies in Chennai. It is all about an adolescent boy turning into a goon. It is said to have lots of realism like other Selvaraghavan’s films. The director said that they have chosen the story before deciding to cast Dhanush in it. He also added that Dhanush fits the role to the ‘T’.

In fact, Dhanush is going to take up a role he is comfortable with and he is hoping to give full justice to his character. Sneha, who plays the role of a call girl, said that it is one of the best roles she has ever performed. The other heroine Sonia Agarwal is also excited about her role.

Selvaraghavan must be confident this time around, as he has proved his mettle with the success of ‘Kadhal Kondein’ and ‘7G Rainbow Colony’. It is perhaps his first action movie and he has given his best. It shooting was done in a big set that resembles Chennai slum. Yuvan Shankar’s music is already rocking the markets.
