Films of Suneel Darshan have always been a delight to watch. Because they are - · Wholesome entertainers · Made for family audience · Have good music
The Darshan’s have never faltered in this three spectrum in their film. And this is one of the sole reasons for their consistent great deliveries one after other. Their association with Nadeem Shravan from the very start has only yielded the filmmakers good result. Going by the current trend, where is music is all techno and junk, Nadeem Shravan infuse melody to the soul. Suneel Darshan choose his favourite composer Nadeem Shravan once again along with lyricist Sameer. The film really gives the essence of the theme of friendship!
Melody being the key word sets your heart humming to ‘Yeh Dosti’. A song eternalizing the bond of friendship, it is sung by Udit Narayan and Sonu Nigam featuring Bobby Deol and Akshay Kumar. The song is as sober and in tune as it can be. It is a different treat to the ears from the humdrums we’ve been hearing in the recent time. Lyrics of Sameer glorify the bond of friendship and admire the attachment that the protagonist shares. A lovely number to begin the album.
Its celebration time with ‘Dulhaniya’. It’s a situational number with catchy music suited for an engagement scene in the film. The music has the punch to keep the merriment going without sounding too loud. Kunal Ganjawala, Abhijeet and Alka Yagnik take their turn to suit the lead pairs Akshay, Bobby, Kareena and Lara. Hear the number being played in the shaadis of the season.
The next track ‘Aisa Koyi Zindagi Mein’ also fits the bill of NS tracks. An effervescent and sparkly song with sweet touches, it is rendered by Abhijeet and Alka Yagnik. Melody again takes an upper hand as NS keeps the orchestra to the basics. Sameer comes up for some effective words for the track. Though the track sounds vintage NS, it is interesting to notice that the composers have changed their way and have styled the orientation of the music in a new manner.
Comes a pulsating number, shouldered by Kunal Ganjawala and Earl. ‘Lets Boogie Woogie’ is high on pulse and beats making it to be an ideal party number. The female version is aptly handed over to Vasundhara Das. NS is out for a change as they try to compose something that is catching the music trend of the current time.
The thumping spirit continues with a great qawalli number coming up. Sukhwinder Singh and Kailash Kher get together for ‘Ishq Na Ishq Ho Kisi Se’, song exhibiting the mayhem in the life of the lovers in the film. Sameer does a good job with the music, with NS deserving an accolade for the good composition. A situational track that’ll alongside provide hearing pleasure too.
Another trademark NS is ‘Aur Tum Aaye’, a duet number by Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik. There is a tinge of romance in this situational number highlighting a sharp turn in the film. There is emotional running all over in the voices making the track ideal for the situation in the film.
More of celebration comes up at the last number of the soundtrack. ‘Yaar Di Shaadi’ is a fun filled and frothy track sung harmoniously by Sonu Nigam, Abhijeet, Alka Yagnik and Sarika Kapoor. The track is enjoyable while hearing but also gives the hint that it has been made to suit a situation in the film.
The scores are out there to score heavily on the music charts. The soundtrack has variety, orientation and the right element to suit the ears of all music lovers. The album is certainly going to have big takers and going by the association of Nadeem Shravan and Suneel Darshan, it’ll surely give encouraging results.
