With the comedies dominating the theaters these days, it doesn’t come as a surprise as to why the directors and the producers are more and more getting inclined towards it. Following the route of comedy, the next movie coming on the screens near you is a film by ‘Jhankar Beats’ maker Sujoy Ghosh, tentatively ‘Home Delivery’. Playing pivotal roles in the film are Vivek Oberoi, Boman Irani, Mahima Chaudhary and Ayesha Takia. Sujoy Ghosh has again picked Vishal Shekhar to do the compositions, who have also composed for his former film. Vishal pens the lyrics.

The album begins with ‘Home Delivery’ the title song sung by actor Boman Irani who turns singer for the first time. The track has the punch and munch and will go down with every body easily. Boman Irani though a first timer does a good job with the rendition. Here comes a fun and frothy number going well with the sequence of the film.

A very simple yet great track comes up next, ‘Kaash’ sung by Shaan. Melody forms the main ingredient of the song, as you glide down smoothly on the easy to ears lyrics.  The lyrics ornate the track and the end product is commendable. This optimistic track certainly deserves a thumb up. There is also an ‘Instrumental’ of the same number appearing on the sound track.

Keeping up with the sequence of Diwali, which forms an integral part in the story, there comes the lively number ‘Happy Diwali’. The celebration keeps going as the track appears again as a remix number. The song takes off in the voice of Sunidhi Chauhan and a bunch of kid singers Aparna, Divya, Suraj, Surthi and Vaishali. The striking thing about the track is again its simplicity. With the Indian and Western music merging in, this situational track goes to be a good number.

Emerges another melodious number ‘Chand Ki Roshni’ that is sure to leave you in good spirits. KK gives his best shot to this slow paced track. High on romance and melody, you’re certainly going to like it. There is also an ‘Instrumental’ of the number.

Vishal Shekhar keeps the good feeling going with the next number ‘Khushboo Churati’. Sunidhi Chauhan croons this soft track, taking it to great heights. This is also an appreciable number that you’re sure to fall for. An instrumental version of the track also comes up.

Breaking the softness so far, comes ‘Cuckoo Cuckoo’ an effervescent number sung with ease by Shekhar and Sunidhi Chauhan. The song appears situational and may not go done well with everyone.

After the character of Mahima Choudhury in the film ‘Maya’, this is the next track of the album. Sanjay Dutt as a singer comes as a surprise, for actors generally lend their own voice for themselves in the film. But here can be heard singing a track for somebody else. Like other songs in his voice, this too has the same styling. It’s catchy!

The album comes to a close with the track ‘Gyaan Guru’. The track is lively and pacy, the rhythm keeping you on the toes. Vishal Dadlani turns to the mike for the number. The number definitely will add up to the goodness of the album.

The ride through ‘Home Delivery’ was no doubt enjoyable. All the tracks are good with some of them having great prospect in the music market too. The tracks are likeable and one can only feel pleasured going through them. Vishal Shekhar have done a good job, not disappointing us. A good album overall for the much awaited film!
