Hero Mammootty is on a new high with his last few releases hitting the box-office hard. Now, he is donning quite a diverse role in ‘Raajamanikyam’. He plays a very crude role with a rural background in the film.
Raajamanikyam (Mammootty) is a rich son of the soil with a rural background. And Bellyraja is his other name. He is a very showy man, and so he wears lots of gold and sunglasses. As a cattle dealer, he is uneducated and ignorant. He succeeds in life due to sheer hard work. So, he tends to believe the bovine creatures rather than his fellow men. He is very innocent and reliable, and so he expects the same from others. But he doesn’t get what he expects. This forms the core of the film. Two brothers claiming heir to their father and a flower seller make a great difference to Raajamanikyam’s life.
Director of the film Anwar Rashid is trying to tell an honest story in an honest manner. Emotional story is told with lots of humor in the film. The music of the film by Alex Paul also has a typical flavor. Now, it’s up to the audience to decide the fate of the film.
