The combination of music director Vidyasagar and actor Vikram always brings out something special. The music of their earlier films like ‘Dhil’, ‘Dhool’ and ‘Arul’ were chartbusters. Now, they have come out with yet another good music for their film ‘Maja’. Energy and vigor are the strength of ‘Maja’s music. It is not influenced by the music of its original film and very much match the title of the film. The film is a remake of Malayalam film ‘Thommanum Makkalum’.

The audio of ‘Maja’ is a combination of both slow and fast songs. ‘Chee Chee Enna’ is a catchy romantic song. Orchestration and rhythmic beats adds to the beauty of the song. Singer Shankar Mahadevan did a wonderful job. Playback singers Madhu Balakrishnan and Sadhana Sargam sing the soft melody ‘Solli Thavara’ so beautifully.

‘Hey Pangali’ is a song that rocks with heavy and fast music. Udit Narayan dominates the show and the music buffs would surely love this racy number. ‘Thaimasaam’ is a mass number with a touch of folk. But it also rocks. Shankar Mahadevan’s voice adds to the beauty of the song. And debutant Kailashekher sings ‘Podhumada Sami’, which is a sad song that tells the events that happens to hero’s life.

On the whole, the music of ‘Maja’ is energetic and music lovers would love to listen to it. It has a good mix of songs like melody, emotional, dance and fast tracks.
